Wash day - Moisturize

Wash day - Moisturize

Finally the second last step of our wash day. After that entire process of washing and putting some moisture back in our hair, we do not want to have all that work go down the drain, am I right?

So to put a good end to wash day, we gotta moisturize and seal so that the hair can remain nice and soft and get those curls and/or coils popping.

How to? You can either use the LOC( leave-in, oil, cream/butter) method, LCO method, the LC method or any other method that works for your hair. It is very important to start with a leave-in conditioner which is water based (the first ingredient must be water/aqua) and follow that up with a sealant. Your sealant could be a cream and oil or just a cream depending on what your hair prefers.

I personally used to use the LCO method the first few months of my journey but now I use the LC method and my hair loves it. So experiment a bit so you can find out what works best for your hair.

Some important side notes: moisturize your hair in sections and make sure you moisturize damp hair, if your hair gets dry before you get to it, just spray some water to dampen it again. Also oil your scalp after moisturizing to prevent it from drying out.

PS: If you do not want to protective style your hair on wash day, then just put your hair in chunky twists when you are done moisturizing each section to keep the moisture in.
